Kathrin Romany Beckinsale, born 26 July 1973.[1][2][3[3] Kathrin Romany Beckinsale is an English actress from England. After some minor television roles, her first film appearance was Much Ado About Nothing (1993) as a student at the University of Oxford. In addition to numerous radio and stage productions, she also appeared in British costume dramas such as Cold Comfort Farm (1995), Emma (1996), and Shooting Fish (1997). Beckinsale started film work in the United States in the late 1990s. After appearing in small-scale dramatics The Last Days of Disco (1998) and Brokedown Palace (1999), she was a part of the war drama Pearl Harbor (2001), the romantic comedy Serendipity (2001), and Tiptoes (2003). After her roles in The Aviator (2004) & Click (2006), she starred as herself. All these films made her a main character in Hollywood.Since acting as Selene in the Underworld film series (2003-2016), Beckinsale has been recognized for her role in action movies, including Van Helsing (2004), Whiteout (2009), Contraband (2012) as well as Total Recall (2012). Her roles in dramas like Snow Angels (2007) or Nothing but the Truth (2008) and Everybody's Fine (2010) continue. The film received a positive review for her performances in the two previous films. In 2016, she won an acclaim from critics for her performance in the period-themed comedy film Love & Friendship, for which she was nominated for the Critics Choice Movie Award for Best Actress in a Comedy. Jolt (1921) made her back to action film. She also starred with Jolt (2021), The Widow (1919) and Guilty Party (2021).
