Amber Benson is an American actress, director, and producer. Most well-known is her acting as Tara Maclay from the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Benson has also directed her films Chance, Lovers Liars & Lunatics and was the leading actress in those films. Also, she was in the film Kiss the Bride. Benson was born January 8 1977 in Birmingham Alabama the daughter of Diane and Edward Benson a psychiatrist. Danielle Benson is her sibling and an artist of distinction. Benson was born to a father who is Jewish while her mother is Southern Baptist was raised in an Alabama Reform synagogue. Benson's acting career has been booming since the end of Buffy. She was in films such as The Killing Jar, and shows such as Morganville The Series. Her talents as a writer were put to use on Ghosts of Albion, and she was the director of Drones (2010).
