Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She is the author of fifteen books. She is also the co-founder of The Huffington Post. Arianna Huffington is a journalist, writer, journalist, TV host and the owner of The Huffington Post. Her move to Greece to England when she was 16 years old, and received an MA from Cambridge University in Economics. In her 21st year, she was president of the renowned debate society The Cambridge Union' and was the first non-native student who was elected to this position. After graduation she made her mark as columnist in the conservative syndicated media and with the launch of The Huffington Post' few years later she created an online voice platform that offered critical observations on the political scenario. The fame of Arianna has led to the attraction of many famous contributors who shared their views on current events, politics and culture. Arianna first gained notoriety in 2003 as she stood for California's recall election, replacing then Governor Davis. In addition, she led an initiative in Detroit initiative to promote fuel-efficient vehicles. Forbes named her the "most important woman" in media and ranked her 12th. Guardian placed her on their list of the 100 most influential media people in 2009. AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post in 2011 and named her the president of their media company and also included several additional AOL brands like Engadget AOL Music Style list and Patch Media. She was born to a journalist and management consultant Konstantinos and his wife Elli Stasinopoulos. Even though she was close with father, her relationship to her mom shaped the remainder of her life. As a child she demonstrated leadership skills that she still is known for. When she was in her 16th year she travelled to England to study and enrolled at Girton College Cambridge. While in college she joined the college debating group Cambridge Union where she became the first foreign president and was also the third female president. In 1972 she graduated with the degree of master's in Economics. Her professional career as a journalist and television host started after her graduation. She was a guest on Bernard Levin on an edition Face the music, and she began to write the books she wrote with Bernard Levin's assistance.
